点评:I've driven past the sign on 190/hwy 21 for years now. Finally decided maybe we should visit. When I saw that they offered capybara interactions up close and personal, it was a sure thing.
We scheduled the noon Capybara Encounter and were happy to find the critters hungry and willing to engage with us. That there were 2 babies (Tator and Tot) was icing on the cake. Taryn and Hayden were terrific hosts and fun to visit with. Both soon-to-graduate Aggies. Whoop.
We enjoyed the Walkabout Zoo as a whole. Lots to see (including a baby sloth albeit in the dark/nocturnal exhibit).
The drive-thru safari kept us entertained (even without buying food). We used the app to identify the different animals and that worked well.
There is a great gift shop with lots of unique stuffed animal toys to choose from (including capybaras).
All in all, this was a great way to spend a beautiful spring day near BCS.
