点评:Went here to do the Hell's Point Challenge! Parts of the trail were amazingly beautiful and leave you feeling like you are the only person on earth. Once you finish the hike you can get a free sticker at the Nature Center.
I have to rate this experience as average though. A trend I have noticed with our state parks and the challenges they highlight is the poor use of signs and difficult to understand maps. For something they make to be one of their main attractions, you would think they would make sure to make it obvious where to go next along the trail. We did see some signs along the way for Hell's Challenge that were helpful but the signage wasn't consistent throughout. Lots of signs stating "you are here" don't even mark where you are at. We had to turn around several times. A couple areas of confusion for us were by the Amphitheater and where to go after reaching the Spring Shelter. The map you can get just for the Hell's Point Challenge is not the greatest. Luckily we had the park map with us as well. It added unneeded stress and time to our hike.
The park is beautiful. Some simple touches can really change a visitor's experience and I hope they take the time to fix the signs.
