Istanbul Airport Taxi Transfer Tranigo的点评
点评：Booked 3 separate transfers with them: two airport pick ups and one from hotel to airport (we arrived, took a side trip to Cappadocia, then returned to Istanbul.) These guys came recommended in the Istanbul Forum. First of all, I thought I was hiring a private car with driver who would meet us at the airport with a sign that had our name on it. We received very clear directions about where to go after picking up bags, which I appreciated. When we walked out the door to the meeting spot, there was a girl there scrolling through her phone and many other waiting. She had us find our name on her list, and then we waited. Having traveled from SFO that day, we were pretty much drop dead exhausted. Then, after about 10-15 minutes, she walked us into the parking garage. There were so many of us we couldn't all fit on an elevator, so she just called out what floor to stop on. When we got off of the elevator, we all stood around while she looked at her phone some more. This went on for several minutes. In the end, it turned out that our driver was sitting right in front of her for some time, but no one knew how to pronounce our name? He finally started calling out a version of it that we recognized and we found him that way.
Our second experience was a pick up in Sultanahmet at 4:30 am. We were in the lobby at 4:25, and the car wasn't out there. 4:30 came and went. The hotel could not have been nicer, offering to call and talk to them. I started calling and messaging. To their credit, they were immediately responsive. I was told that the driver was on his way. He eventually showed up 15 minutes late. He refused to make eye contact, did not speak to us or the hotel staff member who loaded our bags and tried to make sure he knew where we were going, and was totally sullen when he dropped us off. No apologies.
Just not really the reliable service we thought we were paying for. The final pick up went okay, but with the same waiting around at the airport.
