Ceylanica Adventures的点评
点评：Ceylanica guided us through the secrets of Lankan vastness. I call it vast as that's the feeling that remains with me as I write this. Vast in its plural histories and landscapes, and vast in how it resists being reduced to the stereotype of a 'tropical paradise'.
Nila and his beautiful family introduced us to this vastness through the many stories they told and the many warm and delicious meals they shared with us.
Nila is so well versed with the history, geography, weaves and food trails of his country - he regaled us with his many stories - from pointing out a flower that blooms every four years and one that has borne witness to the changing regimes, to whispering how flocks of birds gather to travel together through rainforests and so on and forth. And he did all of this with such fine grace tempered with a distinct pride in his country.
Traveling with this true gentle man was such a pleasure and he bears my highest recommendation. The itinerary was bespoke, while leaving us just enough room to ramble in the beautiful country. Thank you, Nila!
