点评:2 hours seemed like it would be a long time listening to, and looking at how beer is made. But it’s enough time not have to rush around, but to hear about the history of the brewery and see and smell everything that goes on there.
We really enjoyed it. Our guide was very engaging. Not a hook Norton lifer, so there were a few things he didn’t know when we asked him, but he was generally knowledgeable and a very nice chap!
The stairs are steep, so take that H&S warning seriously. We were puffed by the time we got up to the 5th floor.
But if you are interested in brewing and in local history in the Cotswolds, this is an ideal afternoon out.
I want just there to drink free beer at the end but we were encouraged to try everything - so I did !! And it was almost all very nice (not a fan of mild).
You get a free glass and they invite you to shop in their gift shop (most of the gifts are obviously beer, but there’s lots of merch too). It’s quite pricey, but there are a small independent business, so you post a premium price, I suppose.
Overall, good find, good VFM and an interesting trip.
