点评:Located a few blocks off the main road but with the street signs to follow, it is easy to find this stunning work of art. It features former Tumby Bay farmer Dion LeBrun together with local flora and fauna. The stunning bird is a Red-capped robin found locally. The main components – LeBrun and the Robin – are contrasted against a sepia toned background of the Australian bush and other fauna.
Painter Sam Bates, or as he is otherwise known ‘Smug’, took three weeks to complete the work in October 2018.
A large car park is adjacent to the silos with plenty of space for cars, busses and caravans. Verge side parking is prohibited.
If heading north to the Flinders make this a stop as the work is superb. Also take time to support any of the local businesses in the main street. Congratulations to the Wirrabara community for having the foresight for something all of us can enjoy!
