点评：We visited Spinalonga when in Crete on our honeymoon in October 2025. My husband booked with Altino Travel via GetYourGuide and the visit was part of a full day trip to Elounda, Spinalonga, and Agios Nikolaos (highly recommend this excursion!).
The island is a short boat ride from the pretty village of Elounda and there is a small café and a gift shop on site (I’d recommend buying food in Elounda though as it is cheaper). Spinalonga was fascinating and it has ruins from the Roman and Venetian periods, as well as more modern buildings from the early 20th century. The main path around the island was accessible (if uneven in places), but there were a few areas that could only be accessed via stairs so be aware of that if you have limited mobility.
We researched the island ahead of time and my husband is a history teacher so we managed fairly well, but I would recommend booking a tour guide to take you around the island as there are no signs to help explain the ruins or give you background on what you’re looking at.
