The Dinosaur Museum的点评
点评：What a great, little place!
I had been wanting to go to this museum for a couple of years. I recently had a wedding to attend in SLC. So, I figured I’d just take the long way home over a couple extra days and swing down to Blanding.
The place is chocked full of stuff for the dino enthusiasts – skeletons, sculptures (life sized and to scale), lots of information, and scads of dino related movie stuff (such as a stegosaur that was modeled by Ray Harryhausen). It’s soooo cool! Soooo cool!
Another cool thing was, I had the place to myself. I was the first person in the door the day of my visit. It was the last week of their season. There were probably only 5 other people who came in over the span of three hours I was there. And none of them were drooling like I was! (odd…)
Jeremy (the curator who was working that day) is a great guy! We stood there and chatted for close to half an hour going over books of paleoart and other things before I ever got past the entry desk.
And, since there weren’t any other people in the museum, Jeremy would come around and chat with me every so often. Then we spent some time in the butterfly garden, where, surprisingly, for October, there were still butterflies.
And, of course, I bought a copy of Sylvia’s latest book.
So, in summary, great place, great stuff to see, and great staff. Don’t miss it!
Don’t visit this place if you “happen” to be in Blanding. Go out of your way to get to this museum!

我一直想去这家博物馆，已经好几年了。最近我去盐湖城参加一个婚礼，所以就想着多花几天时间绕远路回家，顺便去布兰丁看看。
这里简直是恐龙爱好者的天堂——骨架、雕塑（真人大小和按比例制作的都有）、丰富的资料，还有一大堆恐龙相关的电影周边（比如雷·哈里豪森制作的剑龙模型）。太酷了！太酷了！
更棒的是，我一个人独享了整个博物馆。我去的那天是第一个进门的。那天是他们季末的最后一周。在我待在那里的三个小时里，大概只有五个人进来。而且他们都没像我一样流口水！（真奇怪……）
杰里米（那天值班的馆长）人特别好！我们站在那里聊了将近半个小时，翻阅着古生物艺术书籍和其他一些东西，我才终于走出了接待处。
由于博物馆里没有其他游客，杰里米时不时会过来和我聊聊天。之后，我们在蝴蝶园里待了一会儿，令人惊讶的是，十月份那里居然还有蝴蝶。
当然，我还买了一本西尔维娅的新书。
总而言之，这里是个好地方，展品丰富，工作人员也很棒。千万别错过！
如果你“碰巧”在布兰丁，那就别来这里了。一定要特意来这里参观！
