Amazing stay with the Maasai

点评：We got the opportunity to enjoy a couple of days with a Maasai family and what an amazing experience it was. Much better than we could have imagined and we feel very privileged to live as part of the family for two days.
Everybody was so friendly. We took part in many aspects of their life. The children were a joy and helped break down the barriers with our two boys who had an amazing time without the modern distractions they have at home.
Special mention must go to Nathan, our guide. I think he is the best guide we have ever had. He is full of enthusiasm and desperate to share his knowledge of the Masai culture, for which he is very proud. He is clearly well liked by his community which helped to break down any barriers. He seemed to have an instinct for how much to push and involve us. He realised our interest in wildlife and subsequently shared his deep knowledge of the plants and wildlife around the boma.
Peter the cook was also superb in looking after us. He worked very hard over our stay, providing us with delicious food with a limited kitchen!
The whole stay was very thought provoking and is still at the front of our minds now we are back at home.
We had a unique experience and wish the Masai family the best of luck in the future. Some change seems inevitable for them in future. I hope it is postive for them and any interaction with us Mzungus continues to be limited and sensitive
