Distinguished Concerts International New York的点评
点评：This was my 3rd time performing with DCINY in 2 years. Each time has been a beautiful memory in its own unique way. My 1st time in 2023 I was there with my choir and with my daughter at Carnegie Hall and I knew I’d be back. Along came 2024 and I had the opportunity to be involved in a world premiere at Lincoln Center. Again, was an incredible experience, first time in the city on my own, it was spring, weather was gorgeous, so much excitement etc. DCINY is so organized, so professional, but hey…you gotta do your homework because like most things there are levels. You CAN do this. I performed in the opening performance and enjoyed seeing and hearing the sound of David Geffen Hall as we enjoyed the headline performance.
A couple months before the 2024 performance I had learned that there was a North American premiere scheduled for 2025. Of course I wanted to be a part of it. What seemed like overnight I was consumed again by not the final act but the opening one. Jenkins’ Gloria I’m sure I listened to 1000 times in preparation. What an absolute joy to perform. Did I mention that Jonathan, Iris, and the entire DCINY team are there to strengthen, support and challenge you to be at your best? Another incredible performance and a soldout show at Carnegie Hall.
I should mention that during the rehearsals for the aforementioned One World show at Fordham University, Sir Karl Jenkins was taking questions from choristers and Jonathan Griffith said that his personal favourite was Stabat Mater. I thought to myself,”he’s probably just saying that because that’s the show for 2026.” And then I listened and I 💯 percent agree. I ordered my music and can’t control my excitement exclaiming, ‘Stabat Mater Dolorosa!!’, driving my spouse crazy haha. Come be a part of DCINY in 2026, so many great shows ahead. Choose what’s right for you and your choir or come as a solo performer, you will not be disappointed. Check the calendar and stay tuned!🎶
