点评：We were on a conducted group tour of Vietnam and Cambodia, and this was part of our itinerary. The only city we visited in Cambodia was Siem Reap, we were there for four nights, we used Siem Reap as a base to see the Angkor Archaeological Park. Our local guide for Siem Reap was with us all the time. The first day, we saw the Roulos Temples. The second day, we visited Angkor Thom and the Grand Circuit Temples. The third day was the finale....it was devoted for the Angkor Wat Temple, a huge complex of over 200 hectares......five times the size of Vatican City! Each day, we just could not see everything....here is where the guide comes in the picture, he made sure we made the best use of our limited time. If you are on a conducted group tour, you will have a local guide to take you around. He will organise purchase of tickets, (tickets are valid for three days for all the places in the park), and he will also organise transport to the various places. It is practically impossible to do this properly on your own, so if you are not on a conducted group tour, you simply MUST get your hotel to organise a suitable guide to hold your hand and take you around on ALL three days (for the validity of the ticket). I suggest you read up a bit about the history of Angkor before coming.....it helps a lot in appreciating what you are seeing, and what you are hearing from the guide.
