点评：Jewel Changi Airport is arguably one of the most stunning and ambitious airport structures in the world. It serves as the true crown jewel of the airport, centered around the Rain Vortex, an awe inspiring 40 meter tall indoor artificial waterfall. The experience becomes even more magical at night when the waterfall is illuminated with vibrant, atmospheric lighting. The area surrounding the falls is designed as the Forest Valley, a lush, multi-level indoor garden that feels like a tranquil escape. You can relax on the tiered seating around the base or climb up to the upper terraces for spectacular vantage points. Despite the massive scale of the waterfall’s roar, the space remains remarkably peaceful and best of all, viewing the waterfall from here is a completely free experience.
While there are several paid attractions located at the very top of the building, such as the Canopy Park, Hedge Maze and the Bouncing Nets, these are targeted mostly at younger children or specific thrill seekers. In our experience, the main charm of the waterfall itself is so powerful that paying extra for the secondary attractions felt unnecessary for our visit.
Beyond the nature-focused center, Jewel is a full fledged, premium shopping and dining destination. You could easily spend an entire day exploring its massive array of retail outlets, including the famous Pokémon Center Singapore, which is a massive draw for fans.
Important Note: It is crucial to remember that because Jewel is located outside the transit area, you must formally clear immigration to access it. If you are on a layover, ensure you have sufficient time to go through immigration procedures, retrieve your luggage if necessary, and re-check in for your onward flight.
