Tee time reservation conflict

点评：My friends and I have had an annual golf outing for the past 35 years. This year we chose Lacoma Golf Course for the event. Since this is an important event, and we have people coming in from different states across the country to attend, we wanted to make sure we could reserve a tee time for a specific day as early as possible for planning purposes.
Unfortunately when we tried to schedule tee times months prior to the event we were told that Lacoma Golf does not schedule tee times for groups of less than 40 more than one week in advance.
Exactly one week prior to the outing I called Lacoma Golf and scheduled the tee times for our group.
After about 3 hours into our round, when the last foursome in our party was on the 11th tee, we were notified by a course ranger that we would all have to be off of the course in 40 minutes because of another scramble outing that was scheduled at that time. This came as quite a surprise to us since it was the first time we had been told about the other outing and possible conflict it had with our group. As a result, the members of our party were forced to hurry through the rest of the round or not finish their round and abandon the course early.
Had we been informed of the other outing prior to this the entire conflict could have been avoided.
We took the matter to the staff working at the clubhouse that day and asked why and how this happened but they didn’t have an answer. They apologized for the “miscommunication “ and gave a 9 hole round credit voucher for a foursome in our party.
The unfortunate part of all of this is that this issue, and the problems it caused, could have been avoided if someone on the staff at Lacoma Golf Club had simply informed us of the other outing prior to 40 minutes before it started when we were on the course.
The problem wasn’t caused by a “miscommunication” it was caused by no communication.
