点评：For many years, as an American, I was familiar with the wines of Bordeaux, but then in my recent history, I developed an interest in the wines of Gascony. Gascony is a treasure of France which has retained its quaint character. Plaimont is probably located about two (2) hours south of Bordeaux, and Plaimont is found within a rural area. It is definitely essential to have a car within this environment. As a part of a Europe vacation, I decided to visit Plaimont after I did some research on the many vineyards of Gascony. This vineyard was enormous and it was scenic; I saw big hills of grapevines and of grapes that went on for as long as my eyes could see. These grounds were beautiful and they were very well maintained. I enjoyed learning about the history of this vineyard from my docent, and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the trivia of this company. The other people who worked here were additionally very accommodating and friendly. As an American, people here also spoke English, so I had no language barrier. When I had the tasting, I was very impressed with the variety of the wines that I had. I had white wines, I had red wines, and I had rosé wines. Some of the wines had a more fruity flavor, and a particular wine even tasted with a flavor of pepper! The labels were very uniquely designed, and some of them even had wax and wooden enhancements. There were places to park one’s car at this venue, and a gift shop was available. I would not hesitate to recommend Plaimont to anyone who wants to learn about this incredible environment of Southwestern France.
