点评:I loved the gift shop. I bought many souvenirs for family back home. You can walk down the alley, rent bikes or take a tractor ride to the museum and trails. The ride includes a narration about the land and family. The ranger with a pony tail was really engaging and articulated so everyone on the ride could hear him. After walking through the museum, we walked the trail. Only ruins are left of the 1745 fortified tabby house built by Noble Jones. What we found interesting is that the tabby from this site was taken down to make the foundation of the current family home on the property. The 9th generation resides there today. Aound 1890 about 400 live oaks planted to celebrate the birth of a son (the 6th generation). This created a 1.5 mile stunning live oak alley we see today. Couple known films had scenes filmed here on the property- Last Song and The General's Daughter.
