点评：My wife and I were on a one-week trip to Glacier National Park and a friend recommended that we visit the Bison Range on the Flathead Reservation. The Range was about ninety minutes south of our location, so we took a day to visit. It was so worth it. First, the drive down took us along the eastern side of Flathead Lake, a stunning natural lake and very large. Upon arrival, we paid a $20 admission fee per car. and stopped at the visitor center to get some additional information on where the bison might be in the range. The person there was very helpful and showed us on the map where the bison herds had been the previous day. So off we went. It is a car ride over a gravel/macadam road. If you take the full driving tour (2 roads), it should take you about 3 hours depending on many stops. There are two short trails along the way to get a better look at the range. We saw some Bison up on a hill almost as soon as we started. Too far away for a good look. As we continued to slowly drive the road, we saw other cars stopping and we got an up-close view of one bison hanging out. More bison were just above the one up on a hill. Finally, we moved on and continued to spot bison throughout the range. Also, saw four prong horn antelope a distance away. We walked both trails both less than a mile. Great views of the area. After about two and a half hours of driving and looking, we came across over one hundred bison hanging close to the road. They were literally crossing the street between cars. It was an awesome sight and put our trip to the Bison Range over the top. We drove, stopped, and hiked for almost 4 hours before leaving the range. It was a great day.
