Great ride. Other reviewers may have legitimately had a bad time but we didn't.
The Angkal Fast Boat的点评
点评：We travelled with this company from Senur Harbour to Nusa Penida (Banjar Nyuh) and back.
Our outwards trip was in the morning, when the waves are far less choppy. However, even during our late afternoon return, the boat ride was bumpy only occasionally.
On both trips, the company representatives at the stand offered for us to take an earlier boat. Since it seems to be that the later you leave, the worse the weather, I would recommend always coming at least an hour before your departure.
In terms of safety, we saw life vests. On our morning journey (7th Jan), a crew member walked around to check we had all put our vests on successfully. On the evening journey (9th Jan), some passengers were not wearing their vests and I could not see where the front row passenger's vests were (or were not) — perhaps under their seats.
With these caveats, however, our captain was adept, the crew were attentive, and the trips were great.
Angkal were also very responsive on their Whatsapp when I requested a PDF copy of the tickets we had ordered. There seem to be two websites, the one we used, which I can confirm to be legit, is the one which contains the word 'cruise' in its URL. There's another website claiming to sell tickets, and possibly it is good, too; however, we didn't use that other one, so I can't comment on the other URL's legitimacy.
Conclusion: Great company, would ride again. As for weather conditions, check conditions online ahead of time and also aim to take the earliest boat you can. Thank you, Angkal Fast Cruise!
