Amazing museum, fantastics display, privately run, excellent curator! Well done Sotiris!
Nautical Museum of Sami的点评
点评：We came upon this amazing Museum purely by chance as were driving to Sami. The incredible model ships at the entrance really caught our eye! Having a great interest in all things maritime (born in Southampton and have a Marine Engineer for a brother-in-law) we stopped without hesitation.
We were immediately struck by the vast selection (27) of ships & boats stretching from way back in history to nearly modern times!
Each one had its history and purpose clearly shown and was made with meticulous detail. This is a privately run museum with the owner and, more importantly, the builder of each vessel, in attendance to answer in good English any questions we had.
Sotiris was very helpful, polite, and knowledgeable. We spent nearly an hour there - almost a record for me in any museum!
The best ship was of course the amazing model of the Titanic, which of course sailed from Southampton! Incredible and made from scratch in 8 months!
This museum is a must see if you have any maritime interests. It would also be excellent for schools to visit and would keep the children well occupied. Well done Sotiris - incredible!
