点评:The parking area is right by the road and can get crowded. There are several trails available here - we chose the petroglyph trail. Down the hill towards the wash, there's a paved ramp that leads to a fancy-looking bathroom building. It's not well maintained, though - very much in need of cleaning. Pass the bathrooms and head out to the wash...walk up canyon, passing under the highway, and keep on going. A mile or so up, there are some petroglyphs on the west side of the canyon! If you keep going, you'll come to the remnants of where someone tried to dam up the flow of water. Past that, and over on the east bank, we were just resting and thinking about heading back, when we happened upon a rock with very regular-looking, man-made holes: we believe these were metates, likely made for grinding grain by the Indians who had made the petroglyphs! What a find!
