Fun activity in a huge sandpit (and some birdwatching as a bonus)

点评：We had an afternoon Sandwich Harbour and Dune Drive booked as a full-day package via Tommy’s Living Desert Safari. After exploring the desert creatures, our new guide for the afternoon picked us up and drove us via Walvis Bay to Sandwich Harbour. He even gave us time for a coffee and toilet stop.
We felt really lucky having Denzel as our guide. He took the time to explain things to us, he took the opportunity to show us things that had our interest (for example, we did some birdwatching on the way and Denzel shared his local knowledge). We didn’t feel rushed and we had plenty of time to take photos when we wanted.
Climbing the dune before lunch was fun (& sandy) and although it took some effort, the first views made it worth it.
After food platters and drinks on the beach, Denzel gave the 4WD a good work out in the dunes. We were surprised with the height and steepness of the dunes he tackled. It was fun!
