Magic Fossil Hunt
Isle of Wight Fossil Walks- Wight Coast Fossils的点评
点评：We're regular visitors to the island, and whilst I have been on fossil hunts before on school groups, I have not done one with my wife and two children (11 & 7) and had been meaning to book one for some time.
We'd seen Huxley do his magic shows (several times at the Garlic Farm) and found out he did Magic Fossil Hunts and made sure that we booked one for this summer with Wight Coast Fossils.
We met Huxley at the clearly marked meeting point at the National Trust Compton Bay car park, and he introduced himself to the group. The fossil hunt was interspersed with magic tricks at appropriate intervals during the fossil hunt, and at the start and finish also.
Huxley wowed us with his magic and skill, and with his fantastic sense of humour and timing. He was a brilliant guide and just what was needed.
On the fossil hunt itself, Huxley showed how knowledgeable he is about the geology of the island and explained what we needed to look for, providing detailed (crucially not over detailed!) explanations. He led us up the beach stopping at points to point out finds of the group and praise those that had found some excellent finds, and expanding our knowledge. His timing and approach were just right and we ended the fossil hunt with some incredible Dinosaur footprints which are on the beach itself and are protected. Huxley provided explanations as to how they were created millions of years ago, and how they are able to tell us so much about the Dinosaurs that roamed these shores.
My wife and girls thoroughly loved it, and my youngest found a piece of dinosaur bone which made her day!
Absolutely brilliant, well worth a visit and highly recommended, and what an amazing location too!

我的妻子和女儿们非常喜欢那里，我的小女儿甚至还找到了一块恐龙骨头，这让她开心极了！
