SPRING DAY IN OTARU
小樽运河的点评
点评：I spent the day in Otaru last May 2026. The weather was perfect. Be prepared to walk and walk and walk.
This town is a short 30 to 40 mins train ride from our Hotel in Odori. Beach and Sea view along the way.
After exiting the Otaru Station, turn left and go up the stairs. This is the Sankaku Market. Perfect place to have brunch. We ate at the first resto at the entrance and my daughter said this was the BEST meal she had during our trip. Set meal of Ramen and Nigiri.
A lot of stores were offering crab legs, scallop, oysters KaisenDon and Chirashi sushi.
From the market, we walked downhill to the canal. We passed by the Le Tao shop at the corner. Do not miss the free samples of cheesecake and tea at the entrance.
We walked the stretch of the canal thinking the steam clock tower was near. But we quit and just hailed an uber instead.
The music box museum was cute and magical. But if yoi are not into this. Just skip it and just wait outside for thr steam clock to do its magic every hour. Across it are the bells of Le Tao again.
You can walk this street back to the station for some shopping.
We did not spend the whole day here because we already did what we needed to do. A couple of hours is enough to see the town. Do note, this is one of the stops of Cruise Ships. Crowda of tourists are everywhere.

你可以沿着这条街走回车站，顺便逛逛街。
我们没有在这里待上一整天，因为我们已经完成了该做的事情。几个小时就足够游览这座小镇了。请注意，这里是游轮的停靠站之一，到处都是熙熙攘攘的游客。
