小樽运河的点评
点评：It was a bit of work to locate the actual bus station from the Sapporo Station. We finally located the Hokkaido Chuo Bus Station after asking several people, which is left of the Sapporo TV Tower. The volunteer at the Hokkaido Chuo Bus Station was quick to locate an English speaking staff member to assist us wth the schedule and directions how to purchase bus tickets along with the schedule, routes, and locations of the bus stop for the bus to Otaru via the Hokkiado University. It was helpful to know when the bus would return back to Otaru.
Make sure you get a map of the Otaru at the Information Centre when you arrive as it can be helpful to get around but the main attractions are Otaru Canal and Sakamachi dori Shopping St.
There is a canal boat ride on the Otaru Canal and tickets are sold on the spot. Make sure you check to make sure you purchase the right tickets for either the English or Japanese canal boat ride. The ride is narrated about the history of the canal and the attached warehouses along the path. Definitely a great walk along the Otaru Canal during the summer when the weather is clear and warm. Worth the visit here in Otaru .
