The Village Tour - An Authentic Slice of Rural Amritsar

点评：Having had a really good experience with this firm on their full day private Amritsar tour, I signed up the next day for their group Village Tour, with the same excellent guide, Narinder.
It encompasses visiting a rural village called Gohalwar, approximately 30 minutes drive north of Amritsar. Once there, you are welcomed into the very attractive home of a local, fairly well heeled, entrepreneurial farming family, where you can enjoy freshly cooked late morning snacks, char and lassi, whilst being shown how to tie a Sikh turban. Following this there’s a ride through the charming village and fields, pulled by an ancient tractor. The finale is a typically Punjabi lunch, served in the family’s dining room.
It was an interesting snapshot of rural life, and a relaxing contrast to the crazy and chaotic (albeit vibrant and fabulous) main city of Amritsar.
