Spend time in these magical, 10,000 ft. Pueblos,
Pueblos Mancomunados的点评
点评:My daughter and I returned for a second visit to this region which is huge. We had been up north in the cloud forests some years back. This time, we shared new pueblos with her husband. The three Pueblos we visited over 5 days were as hospitable as we found on our prior trip. Locally sourced food made our every meal outstanding. Huge mushrooms are found in the forests, sometimes, 12 inches in diameter. Potable water was available in the Community offices. Just as the local people live, we had no electrical heat in our cabins. We did have a fireplace with free wood but the nights were very cold. Come prepared for cold weather depending on the season. Our forest guides were excellent. We quickly discovered we were not as fit as they were as life residents. You will find the office for the Pueblos in Oaxaca City. Our contact there was excellent. She is from one of the Pueblos, My daughter speaks Spanish. No English is spoken in the office and very seldom in the 5 Pueblos. Take every tour possible. Making chocolate. Esther, the herbalist. Walking in the forest with a guide. Take a second set of shoes because the forest is wet.
