点评:I stopped outside this shop on a Monday (sign on door said "Open Thurs, Fri, Sat 11-5pm"). Items were arranged on the pavement with no price tags and no signage indicating they were for sale. I pushed the door and it was locked. The place looked dead, and to be honest, the items arranged didn't look particularly valuable.
I picked up some fire irons I was interested in and and while considering what to do next, the owner — Denis Perry himself, I assume — came out, snatched the item back, and, with a snarky comment, replaced them on the pavement. When I calmly pointed out the ambiguity — no tags, no notice, locked door, sign saying closed — he became aggressive, growled "What's it got to do with you!", told me to piss off, and retreated back into his shop.
Poor shop practice is one thing. But when your setup causes confusion and your response is aggression and to push blame onto the customer rather than reflect on your own presentation — own your part!
Reading the reviews here, and here (https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g551636-d16408978-Reviews-Ashburton_Antiques_Trail-Ashburton_Dartmoor_National_Park_Devon_England.html) I'm aware the guy has form .
Very much NOT recommended.
