Refugio Paz De Las Aves的点评
点评：I had an outstanding time at Refugio Paz de Las Aves. I felt like part of the family. The place is incredible with colorful and wondrous birds just outside where I stayed. Each night a Black-and-white Owl 🦉 was just outside my room and during the day I was fortunate to see a variety of tanagers, friendly Toucan Barbets. With Andy’s help, I saw all the Antpittas and other birds I hoped to see and then some. One of the last birds I saw with his help was not even my radar, a pair of Plate-billed mountain toucans! Otherwise, considered the “cherry-on-top”. Indeed, the entire trip was fantastic and enjoyed birding almost right up until I boarded the plane back home. Should also add that food was incredible. Having returned, missing all the delicious Ecuadorian soups, empanadas, and everything in between. As a solo female traveler, I almost backed out of going. Very glad I did not do so. It is scary traveling, but the entire Paz family went out of their way to make feel at home. Encourage all who are interested in birds from novices to those who have an eBird list in the 1000s to consider doing a tour with Andy and colleagues. You will not regret it.
