Sea Turtle Farm and Hatchery - Habaraduwa的点评
点评：I visited the sanctuary today and am wholly unconvinced over the welfare of the turtles, or the motivations of the owners.
1 - The turtles had no enrichment within their holding tanks, and there was no evidence these turtles were under any sort of care regime prior to releasing.
2 - There was an absence of any sort of professional keeper of vet. The individual who showed us round offered some superficial knowledge , whilst being largely disinterested and distracted by his mobile phone and personal calls. His explanations of the treatment plan or release plan all felt a little insincere and largely rehearsed.
3 - The biggest concern; this sanctuary offers fertilised eggs for sale via it's website linked from Google. This is justified under the auspices of them being captive bred, which is totally irrelevant and contradictory to the sanctuaries mission.
I hope I am wrong on these opinions and the sanctuary has every opportunity to change them.
