点评：Frank Lloyd Wright’s Rosenbaum House in Florence, Alabama. Originally a 1,500 square foot Usonian, expanded when Mrs. Rosenbaum was expecting their 4th child by another 1,100 square foot ft. Wright designed all his Usonians for expansion, most never were.
The current butler area was the entire original kitchen space! The Tudor in the last photo was Mr. Rosenbaum’s father’s home. He gifted the newlyweds an acre and $7,500 towards construction. The average home construction was $4,000 at the time.
We have rented 2 Usonians for multi-day stays and toured at least 4 others. We’ve also rented/toured dozens of other Wright structures. We believe this is the best Usonian yet.
Designed for a family to live in, while appreciating nature and function. Although the original kitchen was closet-sized, that was the norm for the time.
