点评:Despite the long winding drive to cradle mountain, the dove lake circuit really is lovely. We parked our car at the Visitor Centre to purchase the park pass for the family. We bought the 2 months vehicle pass which allows up to 8 passenger. This pass is a requirement for all the national parks in Tasmania. We then took the Shuttle (fees included in our park pass) to Dove Lake Circuit (the last stop). We were recommended to walk in a clockwise direction. It took us about 2 hours with minimal rests as we found many of the lookouts and resting point have already been taken up by too many people.
Despite this, we have not found it too crowded. We enjoyed the walk and the views. The clockwise path has a section towards the end that has many steps and rocky areas. However, it is doable for most people (even a guy who just came out of a hip surgery walked the entire circuit successfully).
Highly recommend that you try and get there as early as possible as there appears to be more tour groups around about the 2pm time. The shuttle bus has limited space so you may have to wait a couple of rounds before getting onto the bus. Bring water and snacks/light lunch. For standard summer day, we wore light weight long pants and windcheater for the walk.
