点评：I visited the Jaguar Rescue Center in Puerto Viejo today and it was one of the highlights of my trip to Costa Rica. Their mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release injured and orphaned wildlife is something that volunteers really live by. The team makes sure that the groups are not too big. You can feel the genuine care and dedication in everything they do, from the animal enclosures to the way the guides talk about each individual animal's story. The visit lasted around 2 hours, the cost was 29 USD and whole fee is translated to supporting center activity. The place itself is really well maintained and animals have very good conditions. The ambiance is very friendly.
Our guide, Greta, made the whole experience unforgettable. She had fantastic energy from start to finish, was clearly passionate about the animals and the center's conservation work, and did a wonderful job engaging with everyone in the group: patient with questions, great at explaining the rescue stories, and just a joy to be around. It's clear she genuinely loves what she does.
Highly recommend the center to anyone in the Puerto Viejo / Manzanillo area for the important work this organization does for wildlife rescue and spreading awareness.
