点评:We spent New Year’s Eve at Morgado do Quintão for a special lunch and wine tasting, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish.
The absolute standout was the baked goat cheese with almonds and honey, served with pumpkin jam. The honey was made that morning by bees from their own hives, which made it even more special. Incredible.
Next came cod fritters and pork fritters with aioli—and I can confidently say these were the best cod fritters I’ve ever had (and I eat a lot of cod). Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and not greasy at all.
The potato, pumpkin, and carrot soup with lemon zest was comforting and delicious, followed by a beautifully prepared cod crusted with farofa, served with sweet potatoes and zucchini. Every dish felt thoughtful, fresh, and perfectly executed.
This was also a wine tasting event. While all the wines were enjoyable, the first white wine was my favorite. The wines were good, though the food truly stole the show.
The experience ended outdoors with rice pudding in the yard, followed by a vineyard tour. This was the only small downside for me—the rice pudding was served cold (not my preference), and the rice was undercooked, which was disappointing since I love rice pudding.
That said, even with the dessert miss, the overall experience was still 100% five stars. Outstanding food, a beautiful setting, and wonderful people. I highly recommend Morgado do Quintão for a meal or special experience—you won’t forget it.
A huge shoutout to Clara, our guide, who was absolutely fantastic. Her energy, warmth, and hospitality made the experience even better. She kept everyone engaged during the vineyard tour and brought such a welcoming, joyful presence throughout the event.
