Don't waste valuable vacation time with Safari Blue

点评：Safari Blue: For the snorkel, sand bar, lagoon and lunch tour. Don’t waste your precious holiday in Zanzibar. If you want to go somewhere great for snorkelling these guys don't know where they are or don't care about guests' experience. I don’t understand the positive reviews I read on them. It was the worst snorkeling experience I’ve ever been on and we’ve been in the water scuba diving and snorkeling for over 30 years. First of all, the crew on the boat were not friendly, at all; it appeared they were in a huge hurry to get this over with and were just plainly rude. We got there and no-one gave us any instruction other than: "Just get on the boat."
Next, we left for the 45 minute boat ride to the snorkelling area amid 1 meter swells; one of the Brits on board began upchucking over the side. They had not warned us at all over the possibility of sea-sickness or offered us a candy or Dramamine like the captain of the boat we went diving with later, did. They lowered the anchor and we all went over the side to snorkel. I saw a total of 2 starfish (see the pictures) and no coral worth photographing. It was so rough that the water kept going over the tops of our snorkels. I didn’t even go out for the 2nd location due to the waves. The stop at the sand bar was incredibly beautiful and worth seeing, as well as the lagoon surrounded by rock formations. The lunch on a bigger island was okay, but just okay. The one highlight is that on the way back they opened the sails which was a far more comfortable experience than previous. All in all, if doing it over again I’d skip Safari Blue and spend my valuable vacation time with people who actually like tourists.
