点评:We recently visited Taman Ayun as part of a day trip with Ubud Area Tours, the last stop as part of a UNESCO themed day which included visits to the Ulan Danu Temple and the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. Opening hours are 8.15am to 6pm daily. Entry is IDR30,000 and sarongs are provided if needed.
This is the Royal temple of the Mengwi people and was originally built in the first half of the 17th-century, featuring traditional Balinese temple layout and architecture. The temple grounds are surrounded by a moat and are very interesting, including beautiful gardens, exhibition galleries and video of the temple history in A/C controlled indoor environs.
Overall, this is a really nice temple that is worth visiting if doing day trips around Denpasar or Ubud. We appreciated our driver/guide attending with us, providing basic history and temple information as well. This added value to the temple visit experience.
