Very disappointing visit
Cardhu Distillery的点评
点评：Having visited Glenallachie distillery and met a very nice lady who informed us she was the mother of the manager at Cardhu, we decided to take up her offer of visiting this site. We had already visited several others in the area and following a very pleasant visit to Speyburn we decided to drop in to Cardhu on our return to Aviemore.
We walked around the shop and noticed a visitors cafe/bar and decided we would stay for some food. Before doing so we explored the history of the distillery further from the information on the wall panels adjacent to the food/bar area and leading to the cinema room. On doing so a woman who was conducting a tour (at 15:30 on the 13/05) asked us to leave as she was conducting a tour, this was the only reason given. There were no notices to say you were not allowed beyond this point and my wife and I had not even noticed the tour until she spoke to us. This is not the highland hospitality we experienced in any of the other distilleries which were warm and welcoming and very helpful and as such we won’t be returning and will also be advising friends and family to avoid at all cost.
