I was driving around Normandy and saw their sign for the gardens. When I arrived I was surprised to discover I could take a tour of the chateau as well. I didn't even know there was a chateau. The owners are charming. This chateau is what dreams are made of. It isn't overwhelming but it is huge. I will definitely return for the tour again. She was an amazing guide and off the charts intelligent. It feels like a private look into the diaries of several generations of her family. Among the serious items I discovered a "stuffed owl" perched as though he had been a game trophy. He may have been, but the hunt was in the plushy section of a store. It is delightful to experience a place with so much History that is loved, lived in a joyful. I will be back to review again after my next experience. Excellent parking on site.
