George Fazio Golf Course的点评
点评：I’m not a fan of giving mediocre reviews, but the Fazio Golf Course on Hilton Head is, in my opinion, just okay. The staff are outstanding—as they are at all the courses in Palmetto Dunes—and the greens are in terrific shape. Many of them are long and narrow with steep drop‑offs, which makes for a fun challenge.
My main issue is the tee boxes. They’re pretty beat up, far more than what I’ve seen at other Hilton Head courses, which are generally in excellent condition. It looks like they simply weren’t maintained over the winter.
A few holes also feel a bit quirky, especially the 18th. I’ve heard that a hurricane took out a lot of trees, which is unfortunate but understandable. The areas were replaced with large sand traps that leave almost no room for tee shots. Some golfers may enjoy that design, but for me it made the finishing hole less enjoyable.
That said, there are some spectacular holes. There’s a par 3 that plays entirely over water, along with several other interesting and memorable layouts.
