Always a lovely treat

点评：This is our third time staying at the Gate Lodge and always have a wonderful experience. The staff are lovely and friendly, the massage I received was fantastic, the cleanliness is generally very good and the additional touches like the cocktail (which isnt watered down like a lot of places!), hamper, prosecco and carraffe of cold water all help to enhance the experience.
I do have a few suggestions/feedback. As I mentioned the cleanliness is generally very good however this time I discovered a dirty knife in the drawer and two dirty cups and a glass. The hamper is a brilliant touch, it really is, however I would suggest a few boxes of cereal. I was a bit disappointed that there was no hairdryer this time, as there has been one previously so didn't bother packing. Thankfully the weather was amazing so was able to air dry outside. The one major area for improvement is the barn with the hot tub. One set of lights above the tub weren't working and it would be nice to have some hooks to hang your towels and robes. The hot tub itself is on its final legs. The wooden base is completely rotted through and the metal support on which the hot tub cover is attached is broken and difficult to manoeuvre. A new hot tub (preferably one with built in bluetooth speaker) is definitely needed. Aside from that, we had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning
