The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre的点评
点评：My great uncle was a prisoner of the Japanese after being captured in Singapore in 1942. He never spoke about his experiences , but I was intrigued to know more and contacted the museum to see if they had any details. All I had was the Army records my dad had got from the National records, which named the camps he said he had been in, his home address and parents names.
What I got back was more detailed information, which was used to build me a bespoke tour of the area, including a boat trip on the River Kwai, and visits to museums and some temples in the area. I left with a mountain of paperwork relating to my Great Uncle's time in Thailand, and so many precious memories. Terry and his team looked after me so well. This was a trip I originally planned to do with my late husband, so it was emotionally difficult for me for more than just the Railway.
I would recommend this museum and the research team to anyone who wants to know more about this terrible part of our history.
