A great experience for a first time safari from Cape Town
Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve的点评
点评：We spent 2 nights at this game reserve and can't compliment the resort and stand enough. The last few reviews say everything we want to say. Some of the earlier reviews were critical about the buffet style food but this seems to have been taken on board by the resort. Breakfast was an ample buffet style breakfast along with a cooked menu as well. This didn't run out either morning. Lunch and dinner is a menu based meal with a choice of 6 starters, 8 mains with a choice of sides, and 6 desserts. There was something for everyone. We had a beautiful Ambassador chalet overlooking the vast plain. Plenty of room and a massive bathroom. There was a stocked mini bar which was free of charge (you only get this in the Ambassador units, other units you have to pay but told very cheap) The mini bar was restocked daily. We were not aware of this perk until we checked in.
Turning to the game drives these were excellent. At the end of our second drive we had seen all the 'Big 5' and more as well. This is a 'game reserve' not a national park like Kruger where animal roam entirely free. That said you do get to see the animals close up sometimes a few metres from the vehicle, and you are not really aware it is a fenced in reserve as it is so large. Our guide for the drives was very knowlegeable and went out of his way to get you a good view of the animals. For a first safari experience it is excellent, but if you are expecting the full open safari experience like Kruger National Park you may be disappointed. We were completely satisfied though.
Only a 2.5-3 hour drive from Cape Town it is very accessible. We got transport to/from Cape Town organised by the resort. Again very a very efficient service.
The whole resort is beatiful and the staff so friendly and helpful.

这里距离开普敦只有2.5-3小时车程，交通非常便利。度假村为我们安排了往返开普敦的交通，服务非常高效。
整个度假村环境优美，员工热情友好，乐于助人。
