Subject: Complaint regarding closure of roads during tiger sighting and unfair handling of safari visitors
Respected Sir/Madam,
I would like to bring to your attention a serious concern regarding the management of safari routes and tiger sightings at Pench Tiger Reserve.
Visitors pay a substantial safari fee specifically for the opportunity to experience wildlife in its natural habitat. During our safari, when a tiger was sighted, we were positioned at a spot from where we were able to observe the tiger safely and without causing any disturbance.
However, a forest official came to our vehicle and instructed us to leave the location and “go and see another tiger and other animals.” We were subsequently made to give up our position, despite having waited for and paid for the safari experience. The road/route was also closed in the area where the tiger was being sighted.
We fully understand and respect the importance of following forest rules, maintaining proper safari discipline, and ensuring the safety of both wildlife and visitors. However, if visitors are not permitted to remain at a genuine tiger sighting while other vehicles or officials are allowed to occupy the same position, it raises serious concerns regarding fairness and transparency in safari management.
We request the authorities to kindly clarify:
1. Why was the road/route closed specifically during an active tiger sighting?
2. Under what rule or guideline were we instructed to leave our position despite observing the tiger safely?
3. Why were we asked to leave the tiger sighting and look for another animal after paying for the safari experience?
4. What is the official policy for allocating positions to safari vehicles during a tiger sighting?
5. What measures are in place to ensure that all visitors receive equal and fair treatment?
Wildlife tourism is an important source of revenue and also plays a major role in creating awareness and support for conservation. Visitors should feel that the safari experience is being managed fairly and professionally.
I therefore request you to kindly investigate this incident, review the conduct of the concerned forest officials, and provide clarification regarding the action taken during our safari.
I am happy to provide the date of safari, gate/zone, vehicle number, booking details, photographs/videos, and other relevant information to assist with the investigation.
I hope the department will take this complaint seriously and ensure a transparent and fair safari experience for all visitors in the future.
Regards,

尽管我们 waited for and paid for the safari experience,我们还是被迫离开了原位置。
