Well equipped, safety conscious boating school with competent instructors

点评：I signed up for the RYA Level 1 and 2 sailing courses at Brighton Boating and completed them on successive weekends in June 2025. The school is well-equipped with a variety of boats and the staff are friendly and professional. Our instructors were knowledgeable and competent. All us trainees were beginners and the instructors respected that but were able to get the best out of us, so by the end of the two courses we were developing some basic skills and could do some knots and understand the physics of sailing - points of sail etc. The staff were very safety conscious and for two of the four days, when there were high winds, we went to Hove Lagoon and used the Laser dinghies there. That called for a fair bit of agility but was great fun and was a usefully intensive way of developing skills in tacking and gybing. I would recommend Brighton Boating for anyone who wants to learn the basics of sailing or do more advanced courses or regular sailing. I am doing a more advanced 5 day course there next week and really looking forward to it.
