点评:The lady at the main reception was lovely and persuaded me to donate £4 a month to the National Trust. The climb wasn’t too bad; the main path is a constant climb but it’s not extreme depending on your experience and fitness. Once we reached the top where it started to level off we took a right onto the Lords Rake route. This was also manageable but my mate and I decided to go off track and walked left up and round instead of taking the usual route. We found a nice spot to have a smoke and relax before continuing up to the trig point. On our way down we stopped at the same spot and sat down again. The only thing that ruined it was a guy taking a dump and leaving it right in the path. It was disgusting and I don’t think he realised I’d taken a photo. The lack of appreciation for the people who maintain these paths is simply appalling. Everyone has to use the facilities eventually but you can tidy up after yourself instead of leaving rubbish in leg braces and socks in the middle of the path. Apart from that, we enjoyed the hike.
