Beautiful Cathedral named for St Joseph , Patron Saint of San José
圣若瑟圣殿主教座堂的点评
点评：I can here for midday mass at 12:20pm on a week day. The priest said mass efficiently with a compelling message to do our best, pray and try to be a role model. The cathedral is the main basilica for the diocese of San Jose both are which are named for St Joseph. The seats are wooden with pull down soft kneelers and open to a wide 180 degree view of the main altar in this, the first non mission church in San Jose.
The main altar sits in front of a larger seating area for longer dofcisl devices when one or more of the officiants sits for awhile.
The main altar does not impede any of the many side altars, two of which pay tribute to Mary Mother of Jesus with carved statues trimmed in gold. Several other altars pay tribute to others saints. The ceiling is decorated in carved designs that lead to a central area ceiling with painting of 8 saints and a huge central stained glass
