点评：We took the 3 hour e-bike tour on pedal assisted fat bikes. Dan,the owner, was our guide and we had a very enjoyable tour. Dan is a Stanley native and his knowledge of the area and history was a real treat.
The bike tour is a nice alternative to some of the other tours offered out of Stanley. It’s is limited to about 4-5 riders so you are guaranteed a very personalized experience.
The tour takes you out to Gypsy Cove which can also access by bus but with this tour you allows you to get off the beaten path and experience the beauty of the island from a different perspective.
While you will probably not see as many penguins as the ones on the other tours offered on the island which require several hours transit via 4x4 we were able to see three different species as well as other wildlife. The winds did pick up towards the end of our ride and Dan did a good hop of adapting our ride to minimize the impact. We ended our ride out by the lighthouse where Dan’s grandfather was manning the lighthouse when the Argentineans invaded the island in 1982. A highlight of the tour was coffee and tea with homemade Russian cakes made by Dan’s mom who works at the local newspaper - Penguin News.
