点评:We just got back from visiting the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi (it's actually called the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust now), and wow, what an incredible experience! Watching those little baby elephants come charging in for their milk bottles and then splashing around in the mud bath was just pure joy – they're such playful, gentle giants even when they're tiny orphans.
The keepers shared so many heartbreaking but hopeful stories about how these babies were rescued, and you really learn a ton about elephant conservation and why it's so important. It was emotional, educational, and totally heartwarming all at once.
We're already planning to adopt one through their program – it feels like the perfect way to keep supporting the amazing work they do. Hands down one of the best things we did in Kenya, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone heading that way. If you're in Nairobi, don't miss it!
