点评:This is such a great experience. I am so glad we made time to visit the baby elephants and the baby rhino. We got to see them up close and even pet the ones who wanted to be petted.
It is, however, not that easy to go visit the orphanage.
You have to first write to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust mentioning how many people plan to visit and their names. Once that is confirmed (which can take up to a few days in peak season) you must then sign up under the e-citizen website and then pay for entry into the Nairobi National Park to visit. It is pricey, and you might as well do a safari ride in that National Park either before or after the visit, which is only permitted from 11 am to 12 pm.
It was a lot of work, and a lot of money, but I can't help but think it was worth it.
If you love animals, and love watching them in cage-less scenarios, and especially if you love baby animals, you just might think it was worth it.
