点评：A long pending visit to Kumbhalgarh Fort and finally was a dream come true. I visited this historical place in the month of November, which was may be the best time to visit as it was neither cold and nor a warm day but a pleasant one. This fort was build by The Great Rana Kumbha, The Great Maharana Pratap was also born here. We took a guided tour and recommend the same to the visitors to better understand the history and the places. It will take around 2-3 hrs. if you want to visit it thoroughly. It also have many picturesque spots/places to click the photographs. This fort is an engineering marvel though it is not being taught in the books. It was practically a city inside the fort and still have many temples including Jain temples inside it. Covered with a wall of 36 kilometers, the second highest wall in the world, it separates Mewar and Marwar region. Badal Mahal is the top most portion of the fort from where you can see upto kilometers. In the evening, a light and sound show is performed here. It will be easy to collect the things during the show if you have already had a guided tour. Entry to the Fort and light and sound show (around 06:30 pm) are chargeable. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a must visit place at least once. Since it is situated at a height, elder people and people with medical condition need to take care. Always carry some water with you as there is no arrangement of the same as you proceed with your journey.
