Beautiful views even after 20+ years of Sierra Nevada and the lake
天堂滑雪度假村的点评
点评：We've been to Lake Tahoe numerous times till about before 2010 and many times when I was a child, my parents and I would go to Heavenly mainly for the gondola and to take in the views. After high school, college, work-life and COVID, we've come 3 consecutive times when it was unfortunately closed or past ski season.
This time around in January, I had plans to initially catch up with a friend elsewhere, but it didn't work so thought let's salvage it and go to Tahoe and check out Heavenly. Not only did the weather worked out, but so did the views. Pristine blue lake and mountains and Stateline, Nevada, reminding me of my classic photos before the advent of smartphones.
The gondola from a price perspective is quite expensive unlike before. I think we used to pay $70 (maybe even less) but now $114 per person if you don't include activities. It is worth it, though. You have two stops. Observation point and the actual ski resort which in total take about 8 to 12 minutes.
I highly recommend this spot especially during ski season. Hope to be back in a future Winter for this.
A tip if I can suggest is if there is a month like May, where is more snow which does happen, keep the ski resort open longer.
