点评:Many people do not approve of this park, but keep in mind, The Harbin Siberian Tiger Park is a breeding and conservation center for endangered Siberian tigers. Harbin is only one of the few places in the world to be able to see Siberian tigers (Russia has a few places). While the Pedestrian walk-thru has animals in what appears to be small spaces, we do not know if they are let out into large areas after hours such as to where the buses roam. As far as feeding live chickens, which does seem cruel, and we did not witness it while there, our understanding is that this helps to keep the the tiger's natural instincts activated and provides mental and physical stimulation to prevent boredom.
That said, here is our experience at the park: we were amazed at how many tigers we saw, and were thrilled to be able to feed them through the bus window. When we went, it happened to be when the school children had Winter Break, so it was very crowded. We were in line over an hour, and the line was moving along. The tigers on the bus tour were in super large fenced areas (of course not the same as roaming free in the wild), and seemed to be able to move from area to area. They were not pacing in place like you see in zoos, which indicated that they are stressed. However, in the Pedestrian walk-thru, the Liger was pacing, so not a good sign.
While on the bus, we did not see any obese tigers, nor did any tigers "fight" over getting fed from the bus, nor any tigers pacing. The tiger we fed, had jumped onto a large rock to be fed, then jumped down when the food was gone (you get about 5 small pieces of chicken in a bucket with tongs). Another bus came after us, but the tiger ignored it, perhaps it had enough to eat. We saw lone tigers, several tigers walking together to another section, other tigers in groups laying down and watching. There is no shortage of tiger sightings.
In summary, it was worth the wait - incredible to see so many tigers and to be able to feed them.
